Open discussion and therapeutic advice on how postnatal depression develops.
Many times families need help in the postpartum period but don't have the extra hands around to help. Sometimes the partner has to go back to work right away and mom needs someone to come help in the evening or at night for a few hours.
Helping couples during this amazing time in their lives is the most incredible job. I have attended over 75 births over the last 7 years working as a Doula and I am grateful to continue to do so. Please email me if you have any questions or are interested in setting up a consultation
I am there to answer Dads questions and help him to help you the best he can (to his comfort level). Most dads I have worked with afterwards will say that they felt I was there to support them as well as mom. We make a great support team for mom!
This is a need in our community, someone who can come stay with mom at the hospital after baby arrives so her partner can run home to sleep for a while or spend time in the home after the family is released from hospital.
A person who is skilled and knowledgeable about the care and development of infants as well as maternal recovery and adjustment. She gives non-judgmental guidance on newborn care and feeding, assists the mother with physical and emotional recovery, cares for baby so mother can care for herself, and provide practical household assistance.
I am not yet a Certified Postpartum Doula but I have performed the role of one as well I have experiences in over 75 births. I also have the experience of my own 4 babies
